Charter Expand In the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus there are those gentles who distinguish themselves through great acts of self-sacrifice or dedicated service. These gentles serve the Barony in many ways; by accepting the burdens of an office, performing various duties on behalf of the Baronial Coronet, or by serving as a trusted friend or advisor. In each cast their actions permit us all to enjoy life in these Current Middle Ages.    It was to recognize these gentles, and to honor their dedication, that at the founding of the Barony in August, Anno Societatis XXIV, Uchdred and Constance created the Order of the Sable Chevronels. Alwyn Stewart was named Premier of the Order.    There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Order of the Sable Chevronels, which shall be given by the Baron and /or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who render great service to Their Excellencies and the populace of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus. The holders of this award shall be styled, Companions of the Sable Chevronels and shall be entitled to place the initials CSC after their names.    III.The insignia of this order shall be, ARGENT, THREE CHEVRONELS BRACED WITHIN A BORDURE SABLE.    The Crown of Atenveldt shall be the Protector of this order.    The Baronial Coronet of Mons Tonitrus shall be the Principal of this order.  Baron Alwyn Stewart is confirmed as the Premier of this order, and is entitled to place the initials PSC after his name.    Companions of this order shall be listed in the Kingdom Order of Precedence after principality awards, and before Awards of Arms.    Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the Baron and/or Baroness of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, after due consultation with the crown of Atenveldt.

Charter Expand In Anno Societatis XLIX, during the Reign of Their Solar Majesties Brian and Lia, during the stewardship of Finnian and Brigit, Baron and Baroness of Mons Tonitrus, there was created and award known as the Centurion of the Sable Chevronels. Jennen Cooper was created Premier.    There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Centurion of the Sable Chevronels, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who have rendered long and great service to Their Excellencies and to the populace of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus and are already Companions of the Sable Chevronels.    An individual may receive the Centurion of the Sable Chevronels only once.     The holders of this award shall be styled, Centurions of the Sable Chevronels and shall be entitled to place the initials CCSC after their name.    The insignia of this order shall be,"Per fess sable and argent, three chevronels braced counterchanged and on a chief argent a pomme. "   V.Companions of this order shall take Precedence after the Order of the Sable Arrows of Mons Tonitrus.    VI.The Baronial Coronet of Mons Tonitrus shall be the Principal and Protector of this order.    VII.Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the Baron and Baroness of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus.

Charter Expand Within the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, there are those individuals who distinguish both excellence in the gentle arts of these Current Middle Ages and a Willingness to teach others. Charter Expand Within the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus there are those members of the populace who distinguish themselves through their great skill with the bow and arrow, or their prowess with the Katana, or the Rapier foil.    It was to recognize these gentles and to acknowledge their willingness to teach others that at the founding of the Barony in August, Anno Societatis XXIV. Uchdred and Constance, Founding Baron and Baroness Mons Tonitrus, established the Order of the Silver Morion, creating Alwyn Stewart Premier of the Order.    There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known ad the Order of the Silver Morion, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who display excellence in the Light Weapon Arts of the Current Middle Ages.    The holders of this award shall be styled, Keepers of the Silver Morion and shall be entitled to place the initials KSM after their names.    The insignia of this order shall be "Sable, a morion helm within a bordure argent"  The Crown of Atenveldt shall be the Protector of this order.    The Baronial Coronet of Mons Tonitrus shall be the Principal of this order.    Baron Alwyn Stewart is confirmed as the Premier of this order, and is entitled to place the initials PKSM after his name.    Companions of this order shall be listed in the Kingdom Order of Precedence after the principality awards, and before the Awards of Arms.    Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the Baron and/or Baroness of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, after due consultation with the Crown of Atenveldt.

Charles de Lacy was created Premier.  There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Sable Arrows, which may be given by the Baron and Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those individuals who distinguish themselves through excellence in the skills of archery and a willingness to teach those skills to others.    An individual may receive the Sable Arrows only once.  The members of this Order shall be styled as Keeper of the Sable Arrows and shall be entitled to place the initials KSA after their names.    The insignia of the order, "Argent, a sheaf of arrows between two flaunches sable within a bordure counterchanged".    Companions of the Order shall take precedence after Silver Morion of Mons Tonitrus.    The Principal and Protector of the Order shall be the Baronial Coronet. Amendments to this charter shall be made by the Baron and Baroness  The membership in the Order of all Previous recipients of this award is hereby confirmed.

Ordo Stellae Argenteae

Charter Expand In Anno Societatis XXXV, during the reign of Their Royal Majesties Mathias and Sarolta there was created in the Barony of Mons Tonitrus under the leadership of Baron Philip and Baroness Selina, an award Known as the Order Stellae Argenteae. There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus and award known as the Ordo Stellae Argenteae of Mons Tonitrus, which may be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those young people who demonstrate an understanding of life in these current middle ages, who consistently display appropriate courtesies, and who render service unto Their Excellencies and the populace of the Barony to the best of their age, ability, and knowledge.   Companionship in the Order requires that the recipient has attained no more than 16 years od age and has been active in the Society of Creative Anacronism for at least 2 years.   The members of the Order shall be styled as the Companions of the Stellae Argenteae of Mons Tonitrus.   The insignia of the order shall consist of a medallion, pendant from a vert ribbon, bearing "(fieldless) per chevron throughout artgent and sable, in base a mullet of 8-points argent, all within a bordure sable". The Crown of Atenveldt shall be the Protector of this order.   The Baronial Coronet of Mons Tonitrus shall be the Principal of this order.  This award shall rank below an Award of Arms at the end of the non-armigerous Mons Tonitrus awards.   Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the Baron and/or Baroness of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, after due consultation with the crown of Atenveldt.

Charter Expand Within the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, there are those individuals who distinguish themselves with grace, courtesy and honor; and serve as examples for all to emulate. It was to recognize such individuals that in August Anno Societatis XXIV, at the founding of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, that Uchdred and Constance did establish the Order of the Guardians of the Saguaro.  There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Order of the Saguaro, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who consistently display exceptional courtesy and grace.  II.The holders of this award shall be styled Guardians of the Saguaro, and shall be entitled to place the initials GOS after their names.  III.The insignia of this order shall be: an aiguillette sable, argent, vert, and or. The Crown of Atenveldt shall be the Protector of this order.  The Baronial Coronet of Mons Tonitrus shall be the Principal of this Order.   Baron Alwyn Stewart is confirmed as the Premier of this order, and is entitled to place the initials PGOS after his name.  Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the Baron and/or Baroness of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, after due consultation of the Crown of Atenveldt. Defenders of Mons Tonitrus

Heraldry Award Information Blazon: Per fess sable and argent, three gyrons issuant from chief argent and three chevronels braced sable. Founded: August A.S. 24 by Uchdred and Constance Premiere(s): Alwyn Stewart Recipients: Visit the Order of Precedence.

Charter Expand In August of AS 24, Uchdred and Constance did bestow upon Master Alwyn Stewart the title of Lord Defender, in recognition of his tireless efforts in the forming of this Barony.     In August of AS 26, the Order of the Defender of Mons Tonitrus was created by Alwyn Stewart, and is awarded to those good gentles who are called upon to serve as Baron and Baroness.     his award recognizes the tears and laughter, sorrows and joys, pains and pleasures, experienced by those who enjoyed the singular honor and privilege in serving as Baron and Baroness of these Lands.

Fellowship of Mons Amicis

The Strong Oak Club were created Premier at Mace & Greatsword AS.LIII or September 8th, 2018.  There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award, known as the Fellowship of Mons Amicis which may be given by the Baron and Baroness to recognize the importance of those who, either as a group or individual, promote hospitality, friendship, merriment and offers of assistance to the barony. The holders of this award shall be styled as Fellows of Mons Amicis and shall be entitled to place the initials FMA after their name.  Individuals or groups may receive one award per Coronet reign.  The insignia of the Order shall be a token with the design "Per pale sable and argent, an annulet of ivy and a bordure counterchanged" Companions of this order shall be listed in the Kingdom Order of Precedence after the principality awards, and before simple Awards of Arms The Baronial Coronet of Mons Tonitrus shall be the Principal and Protector of this order.
