Charter
In Anno Societatis thirty-nine, during the Reign of Their Royal Majesties Cravon and Ismenia during the stewardship of William and Dascha, Baron and Baroness of Atenveldt, there was created an award known as the Order of the Roots of Atenveldt. This is an amendment to the original charter for that award correcting some errors therein. These corrections have been agreed by the undersigned Their Royal Majesties Cravon and Mary Rose. It is further approved of by their Excellencies Rhys and Edine, Baron and Baroness of Atenveldt.
- There shall exist in the Kingdom of Atenveldt an award known, subject to approval by the College of Arms, as the Order of the Roots of Atenveldt, which may be given by the Baron and Baroness, to those who continually keep giving years and years of faithful service to the roots of the Dream and to the Barony of Atenveldt.
- II. All recipients of this award must be paid members of the Society for Creative Anachronism at the time they receive the award. All recipients od the award must have previously received the rank of Commander in one of the following Orders; the Palm, the Azure Chalice, the Purpure Clarion, the Sable Axe, or the Vert Glove.
- III. The award be given at any Baronial Event and an individual may receive only one Root of the Barony of Atenveldt award.
- IV. The members of the Order shall be styled as A Root of Atenveldt and shall be entitled to place RABA after their names.
- V. The insignia for this order shall be "Argent, two palm trees trunks crossed in saltire and in chief a stump gules"; upon a silver medallion dependant from a gold ribband.
- Champions of the Order shall take precedence directly before all other Barony of Atenveldt awards.
- The Protector of the Order shall be the King and the Principal of the Order shall be the Baron.
- Amendments to this charter shall be made by the Baron and Baroness after consultation with the Crown.
- The membership of the Order of all previous recipients of this award is hereby confirmed.
