Lady Roša the Rus is a first generation SCA Member who has a primary focus of Service and the Arts. She enjoys creating a robust and visually appealing online presence for the Kingdom by using her knowledge of web development, commercial art and design, and marketing. Some of her accomplishments in this regard are the Kingdom website, and the Baronial/shire sites.
SCA Origin
Rose, aka Roša Duvanova doch' Sychevna in the SCA, is a populace member of the Kingdom of Atenveldt and currently resides in the Barony of Atenveldt. She carries a passion for sustainability and all things ancient slavic culture.
Rose joined the SCA in 2005.
She got heavily invested in the SCA in 2008 while in the Kingdom of Meridies, specifically the Shire of Crimson River. There she learned many medieval techniques through Arts & Sciences gatherings.
After returning to Atenveldt, she found friends with the College of Brymstonne (ASU chapter, located in the Barony of Twin Moons) in 2009 and continued to learn priceless information and abilities until the group dissolved in 2015.
Persona
Roša (pronounced RO-SHA) is a Kievan Rus traveler from the 12th century. Rosa's persona is mainly nomadic, and can be found along trading ports along the Volga.
Her heraldry refer to Russian folkore, the Sirin and Alkonost: the birds of joy and sorrow.
Roša's name is derived from her persona's father's name, Duvan the Owl. "Duvanova doch'" indicating "daughter of Duvan" and "Sychevna" which indicates "owl" as a surname.

- Performed the 16th century latin Christmas hymn, Gaudete in 2010 for the Known Worlde Choir Competition with other members of College of Brymstonne. We received 3rd Place.
