Raven's first event was at Estrella Park in 1996 with the assistance of Sir William Flanagan. He has found interest in all the activities the SCA does. He decided early on that he would not limit my experiences and have some education on everything. His first interest was in marshal arts and archery. He also enjoys being of service and helping, but his ultimate passion is the arts and sciences. Paint is his medium and he uses it to bring joy to the world.
Raven is part of Clan Celtic Sun, House of the Silvermoon, Knights of St. Michael. He is also a part of a large sewing group called the Elizabethan Sweatshop (est. 1996). They would like everyone to look good.
Raven has an autoimmune disease and is slowly loosing his abilities. His goal is to leave everything more beautiful, happier, and cleaner than he found it.
What's in a Name
Raven picked his name, he was really into researching his Native American heritage. Since that persona was not encouraged, he went to the library to find names that reflected that in a round about way. He originally wanted it to be Raven Hair, but was able to document Raven Mayne and used it since it was close.
Persona
He is a early 11th century Norse Irishman farmer living in Dublin.
Heraldry Story
Raven started designing his Heraldry in a group of pun enthusiasts. So it was: Argent, in pale a goute de sang and a tick, on a chief sable decrescent argent. He has since made that his badge. His current device is Argent a semi of ravens volant sable and is in the process of adding: augmentation on an escutcheon in base azure in pale a sun in splendor and an artist's paintbrush fesswise reversed within a bordure Or.

Notable Accomplishments/Projects
2000-Present·Over 400 scrolls, and going, for Kingdom of Atenveldt and all Metro of Phoenix Baronies (including design and Illumination of the Peerage Scrolls)
2001-Display shields (1:10 scale) for Atenveldt, Outlands, West, and Caid as gifts (Commissioned by their Majesties of Atenveldt) for coming to EW War Treaty that year.
2002-Did five different Front Covers for four Different Southwind Publications.
2003-Silk tippets for all of the Barony of Atenveldt Guard and Baron & Baroness
2003-2012 every year since I won I have Reworked then Updated Barony of Atenveldt Arts & Sciences Champions Banner and Flag (Banner full as of 2005-Constructed and painted and attached an extension). B of A‘s A&S Wall lost in theft of the Baronial Trailer which the wall was in, in 2007.
2004-Organized an unofficial Summer Scribal Collegium; 2 days, 2 houses, 16 hours of Instruction with several teachers, taught two classes personally
2004 & 2012-Produced Hawk's Lures for Kingdom Hawk’s Lure Award, and Commanders of-
2004-Created a Travel Chest for Barony Atenveldt A&S Champion's Regalia.
2005-2012-Hand-cast Honor pins to be used for members who receive the Full Honor of Sun Dragon, Sand cast method, using Pewter.
2005-2012 Hand cast Rainbow’s Gold medallions for that award. I used the Sand casting method Using pewter as the product. Plus they are all 24kt Gold Plated.
2006-2012- Repainted and updated the Barony of Sun Dragon’s Baronial Chest. On it are the entire Baron and Baroness’s devices since the start of the Barony to present.
2006 Illuminated and designed Invitations to all of the Baronies of Atenveldt, from the Baron and Baroness of Sun Dragon, to the “Annual Baronial Dinner” at Estella war XXII.
2007- Had all 7 Pencil life Drawings of members of our populace in the first inaugural publication of the Annual Atenveldtus Glorious Publications.
2007 helped design and paint the Barony of Sun Dragon and Barony of Atenveldt’s Archery Walls
2007-2008 helped paint and attach all new dags for the new Sun Dragon Baronial Pavilion.
