Meistres Morgaine Rhys ap Gruffydd, OP Joined the SCA in 1990 in the Barony of Atenveldt. She first became interested in heraldry when the members of her first household asked her to talk to the local heralds on their behalf to help them register names and armory. It was then she met Mistress Helen Jennet of Foxhall, who introduced her both to the world of heraldry and the fun of administrative service in the Society. Despite a brief hiatus in the late 90s, and a few years spent in the East Kingdom in the early 2000s, Morgaine's favorite place in the Known World is the Barony of Atenveldt, which she loves deeply and hopes to always call home, no matter how far she roams.
Estrella War is also very near to her heart. Her first war, indeed her first ever event was Estrella War VI. Since then, she has missed just 4 of them. Her first war officially on staff was EWXIII in 1997 as the Grand Court coordinator. She spent several years working as deputy to several different Merchant Coordinators, and then most recently spent three years as the Volunteer Coordinator. Getting people excited about participating in Estrella War as any part of the team is one of her passions.

Morgaine is a 10th C Irishwoman (with a Welsh name, yes - long story) living near the Viking settlement of Dublin, traveling at times to Iceland and Wales. Ridiculously well traveled for a woman of her time.
She is sometimes a 14th C Welshwoman living in the same area of Ireland.
Although she rarely dresses later than 14th C, her interests range throughout the scope of all the SCA has to offer.
