	Cian mac Conmara was born in County Clare, Ireland at the end of the 10th century. He was kidnapped as a child by the Danish Vikings that frequently invaded Clare and brought up as a healer, an herbalist, by the family that adopted him. He moved with his new family to Yorkshire in Danelaw, a region of northern and eastern England, in the early 11th century. While in Atenveldt, Cian lived in the Barony of Atenveldt, and later moved to the (former) Shire of Nathair Airgid, where he served as an A&S Officer and as Seneschal. Cian returned to the Barony of Atenveldt after the Shire was disbanded.
